I’m Aysha Farhana- I graduated from my alma-mater Thiagarajar college of engineering with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. To pursue my dreams of becoming a professor for the Electrical Department, I went on to get a BEd degree after this. Today, I’m happily settled in Kadayanallur with my family – including my beloved son who is suffering from a genetic condition that has given rise to developmental issues.
Due to this experience, I’m now keenly aware of the many difficulties that people face while living with chronic health conditions. I was confident and ready to establish my career upon graduating – however, I have put my career on hold to focus on the health and happiness of my child for now.
Teaching is my lifelong dream, and as such, I’m preparing for Government exams – specifically the TNTET exam for a teaching license in Tamil Nadu. I did not have an established network to support me in getting my career and so it has been a tough journey. However, I look forward to establishing my academic career in the future.
To the students at Thiagarajar college today, I would say – study hard and believe in your goals.
